    Why growth groups?

    About

Discipleship grows best in circles, not rows. Growth Groups create a steady rhythm of Bible engagement, prayer, and friendship. They also provide practical care when life gets busy or hard.

What happens in a typical evening

      • Welcome: time to catch up and settle in.

      • Scripture: read the passage, ask good questions, and apply it to real life.

      • Prayer: for one another, our church, and our wider community.

      • Care: check in on needs and plan simple ways to help.
Groups often share food or a hot drink. Conversation is warm, honest, and unhurried.

    When and where

Groups meet weekly or fortnightly in the evening. Gatherings are in person at homes around the North Shore or in rooms at church.

    Who are groups for?

There is a place for you whether you are new to faith or have followed Jesus for many years. We have a range of ages and life stages across our groups. Some are more discussion-based, others focus on guided studies. All aim for the same goal: following Christ together.

    What we’re aiming for

      • Bible-shaped lives: hearing and doing the Word.

      • Prayerful dependence: asking God to work in and through us.

      • Meaningful community: being known, encouraged, and accountable.

      • Everyday mission: noticing neighbours, inviting friends, and serving our city.

    How groups are supported

Each group has a recognised host. Leaders can receive ongoing support from our pastoral team, and groups are connected into the wider life of the church so no one is isolated.

    Families and accessibility

Many evening groups are family-friendly in tone, but each group sets its own plan for children and start times. If you have particular needs around access, transport, or timing, let us know and we will help you find a suitable group.
