Overview
The North Shore Tamil Fellowship gathers here fortnightly, creating a spiritual home for Tamil-speaking families on the Shore. It’s a close-knit, devoted community where worship, prayer, and shared meals strengthen their journey together.
A Resilient Community
The North Shore Tamil Fellowship (NSTF) has a remarkable story of beginning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Officially birthed in 2021, they managed to hold just one in-person gathering in August 2022 before the country went back into lockdown.
That challenging start shaped a community with a deeply resilient character, one that met faithfully online and continues to seek the Lord together. The people who gather here have a sincere love for Jesus and a genuine desire to grow in their faith.
Their Story & Connection
NSTF serves as an outreach arm of the mission-minded Otahuhu Community Baptist Church in South Auckland. After many years of prayer by its pastors and leaders about starting a Tamil ministry on the North Shore, the Fellowship was finally initiated. From the very first day, it was a place where people immediately enjoyed rich fellowship in Christ.
They currently gather on the second and fourth Friday of each month and are a close-knit group of about 15 to 20 members.
