We are a family centred local community and missionally focused church located on Auckland’s North Shore.

“And God placed all things under his (Jesus) feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”
Ephesians 1:22-23
We at Glenfield Baptist believe that God has placed all things under the authority of Christ, who serves as the head of the church— His body. We as a church are to embody Christ’s love, grace, and truth in every way, radiating His light into every corner of Glenfield and beyond.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25
We understand the importance of coming together regularly, to worship God and also strengthen our bonds of fellowship. Glenfield Baptist is a place where we actively encourage and uplift one another, inspiring each other towards acts of love and kindness. And as the challenges and uncertainties of this world seem to increase, we are even more committed to being a source of support and encouragement for one another, standing firm in our faith, until the day that our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-3, 13
In this community, we hold fast to the words of the Apostle Paul, that love should be the foundation upon which all meaningful actions and expressions of faith are built. Without love, even the most impressive deeds or spiritual gifts are meaningless. And we are able to love because God first loved us ❤️
